i went up there for schoolies week... the nightlife was shit, really was... no good music anywhere, no cheap drinks anywhere, and i was pretty pissed off to say the least...

then i realised on like my 2nd last night "hey, these chicks are drunk!"

I recently came back from holidays up there and I wouldn't place too much of an emphasis on the night life in Surfers. If you are looking to chill with mates, it's definitely the best place, however not much of a nightlife. My Bar plays some good funky house (if your into that), Shooters has an alright crowd, however music is up to shit and Fever plays nail-hitting Hard Trance.

Afraid optimism won't do any good the nightlife in Surfers is shit unless you're an alcoholic R&B fan.

If you want good entertainment head up to Brisbane and into the Valley, check out club Family, the club has a $1 million sound system awesome lighting and a good atmosphere, Armin played there last Friday and the place went off this Friday or Saturday Dumonde is playing there so it should also be a great night.

the only good club up there is Berlin bar, not sure if its still there, but that was a mad place. Plays wicked tribal house.

well from wat i can remember last year .. fever is the closest you would get to what your after but even that is gay shit .. with Hard NrG shit .. !! surfers is only for the sun and getting drunk .. nothing more !! i remember there was this club at broad beach called 'the quest' that played house music ... wateva !! ..
cant wait to go back tho ..!!

umm when i went up there, there was a club called 'blue' i think, was playing hard trance at one stage, then the next night i think it was house.. not sure though..

Berlin Bar has closed for renovations....

Goto the Family in Brisbane, it's worth the trip up

Have to agree with most of the peeps opinions here, Surfers is pretty archaic unfortunately, very little if any trance scene at all up here, and Family might be a good venue but unless your there for an import DJ they'll shovel house down your throat all nite... Quest in Broadbeach might be worth checking out but havent heard much about that place... all said and done the wildlife certainly isnt taxing on the eyes!
