Armin Van Buuren - Live at IDT Radio (05/30/2002)

I have a feeling that this track listing is out somewhere here, but I just can't find it. I've done several types of title searches for both "IDT", "Radio", and even the date (30-05 vs. 05-30). If it is in this forum, then that thread's subject needs to be more clear. If it's not, could someone please post the track listing? TIA.

Thanks!

So AVB's "Live at IDT Radio" is the same as his "A State of Trance" mixes?

Now I just have to figure out which of those 2 mixes is applicable to the 5/30/02 mix I have.

Believe it or not, when you download things they can be titled whatever someone feels like titling them and this has no bearing on what the actual mix is that you downloaded.

If you hear Armin talking alot during the set, then you have Part 1. If its a non-stop mix, then you have Part 2.

If you think about it, every "ASOT" episode is "Live at IDT Radio", because ID&T Radio is the home of "ASOT".
However, "Live at IDT Radio" is NOT the correct name of the show, "A State Of Trance" is.
Some "wise" people on internet however decided it would be better if they called it "Live at IDT Radio" instead of "A State Of Trance"
This is because in early days they didn't even record the 1st hour, because it was interrupted by speech so it wasn't 100% mix.

And it's as RJOllos said, if you hear Armin talk a lot then it's the 1st hour when he presents the newest tunes, in 2nd hour he only does a mix, however there were some episodes when he did some talk in the end of 2nd hour!

AVB

Thanks for your help, RJO and Prince. I'm still confused and here's why.

The mix I have has no speeches from AVB. It's just one long continuous mix. So judging by your posts, that would lead me to believe it's the 2nd track listing.

However, this mix does not have:
4 Strings - Diving
(which is a track that I'm familiar with).

There's not a lot of vocals in this mix; I think maybe 2 w/ female vocalists, and that's in the first half of the mix. (BTW, the mix I have is 60:16 long.) At 55:46 into the song, a male radio DJ (I assume) says:
"You're into the Thursday night dance tunes. The newest tunes selected. The hottest tracks in a row. This is a State of Trance with Armin Van Buuren."

It could very well be, as RJO suggested, that the person misnamed the file and the lied about the ID3 info.

Thanks again in trying to ID the track listing.

I just listened to ep. 50 part 2, there's no jingle that you mention, infact this is one of the part 2's that I mentioned where Armin talks in the end, he listed all the tunes played, no way you can confuse that!
He talks a lot in part1 too btw.

Thanks, FP. So it looks like I have a mislabeled/misnamed file. This will be a fun mix to find the playlist for.

Well it doesn't necessarily have to be an ASOT episode or even Armin mixing, but if you can ID one or two tracks then i suggest you plug the names into the ASOT search engine and that might help you find which set you have.

Thanks, guys. I think it is ASoT Episode 50. As you guys (Fresh Prince and RJOllos) suggested, I had a mislabeled mix. I got another which is 57:03 long and has that 4 Strings - Diving songs (but w/o vocals).

The mix starts out with a guy shouting "Come!" and a moment later, another guy says:
"The newest tunes selected. The hottest trance in a row. A state of trance. Ladies and gentlemen, your host for tonight: Armin Van Buuren".

The mix just ends by just fading out. AVB didn't come back on, so it looks like that part was truncated from the mix. : \

The other mix I mentioned in my previous post is dated 5/3/02. But going on AVB's Web site, he doesn't have a mix from then - only from 5/2/02. Or maybe the month and date are swapped. I'll do some research and try to figure that out.

But thanks for letting me know I had a "bad" (as in mislabeled) mix. AVB's stuff is pretty nice - almost up there w/ PVD.
