According to HMV, classic tiesto tunes such as Sparkles, Flight 643, Suburban Train, Theme from Norefjell, etc... are being re-released here in the UK on 31st May.
Can anyone confirm this? iv only seen it on the HMV (UK) website under the 'Coming soon' section in the Trance/Hard House singles page of the site.
This is good news seeing how i just sold my vinyl copies of Sparkles (Blackhole), Theme from Norefjell, Tube etc so its good in a way but why bring out tracks again from 1999/2000. Why not look to the future instead of always bringing back the classics to make some money. i think i just answered it...$$$$$. Im sure they will sell well so they may aswell bring out Universal Nation and 1998 just to be on the safe side
Why on earth would he re-release Theme From Norefjell??? That tune sounds so amateurish and dated nowadays that it isn't even funny. Hell, even Tiesto himself only plays the Jan & Chantzis Mix nowadays, since it sounds nothing like the original whatsoever. Ah well, I guess there's enough cash to be made on it, so why should he care.

Well I hope that the magikal remake and the Jan & Chantzis Mix will both feature on the vinyl. Then I'll pick it up!
wasn't there a rumor of a 2004 rework of Theme From Norefjell?

This is good for people like me who recently got into spinning vinyl and never got hold of the classics...
Re-releasing is one thing but all these [insert year here] remakes piss me off.

Yeah, but that whole vinyl was a bit cheeky anyway, it didn't have any info about the tracks anywhere.
tiesto really needs to stop trying to ride this "i'm an artist" wave he's been on lately.
he said himself that he wanted to play more of his own material and he has started in that direction, but its not working. you can't just play your tunes every other weekend and expect people to come out to see your ass...i'm afraid we're seeing the end of tiesto. if he's #1 this year...its complete bullshit.

...and just what does this have to do with re-releasing tunes?

well re-releasing tunes kinda goes along with only playing his own productions. he is clearly trying to continue marketing himself as an artist more than a dj.
