Members of Mayday..... whats next?
Hey guys, I'm doing a mix starting off with Members of Mayday - Sonic Empire, any suggestion on what I should put next?
I want a song with a big bassline, to kinda get the party going if you know what I mean..

Why? Too mainstream? What do you suggest then?

dude... if you can't make your own tracklist, then you shouldn't be djing. you should be figuring all this stuff out on your own. its cool to ask for like 1 track suggestion in the middle of a set or something. but the secoind track? just listen too all your tracks and see what sounds like a good opening. and then see what flows after that. etc etc.

Well geez sorry for asking, I mean isn't this what a forum supposed to be for? I didn't ask for an entire tracklist.
Who died and made you king of djs?

Ya I know what you mean and I do have the rest of the songs, it's just that I have Dj's block AKA writer's block in other fields.
Anyways, as King Dj do you impose taxes in your country?

I'm not at all into that type of music but I love Sonic Empire..
Maybe you could try some of Ferry Corsten's more recent work, with a bit of electro influences..
For example, something like 'Rock your body rock', or maybe Punk (but that one's blatantly overplayed)..
Hope it helps, as I said I'm not into that type of music.
It's an alright track to start with depending on how hard your set is going to be.. When I played it in a set I went:
20. Members of Mayday - Sonic Empire (Jan Driver Remix)
21. Marzz - Orbiter

There is definitely more satisfaction in programming your own set, but I don't see a problem in asking. I think that a good track would be Rock your body rock. Play the F. Massif mix though. It is different and not quite as played as the original. If you are playing the Jan Driver mix of Sonic Empire it would go really well. Both have a fairly hard kick with a rolling driving bassline and electro sounds. You have a lot of options though. Just don't make too large of a leap between tracks and you will be fine.
