Sean Walsh - Driven (full track, 192kb/s)

This isn't really a new song and I posted an earlier version of it here in crap quality in September when I was a forum newbie, but I think it got overlooked for the most part. This is a new version that is louder and better produced, and has gotten numerous plays from Guy Ornadel and a few others (Freezel comes to mind )

http://flamevault.com/~celerity/a/S...0-%20Driven.mp3

I still play this out on a regular basis and think it rocks at the club, for those of you into tech trance anyways.

Enjoy!

I think it stills need a little changes, the percussion, frequences and the whole last 3.30 minutes. But indeed, it's a good track... with a little changes I think it would really rock the club!!

Nice job btw

This is good good! Good ideas here but I think you could make a few changes to improve the track. I think more percussion would help this track along a lot. Actually, I was gonna say change the lead sound a bit, but I actually like it.

So maybe just add a bit more percussion to make this more mint than it already is.

yeah, heard this awhile, i remember it being quite different than celerity 17. I like that nice low bass mate, but yeah, the main sections of the track before and after the breakdown feel like its just missing something inexplicable, others say its the percussion so I'll differ to their more informed suggestions since I lack the technical knowledge to make appropriate assestments and suggestions.

keep up the good work mate!

Wow, nice track man. Not actually that techy I think, but hey it sounds great!
DOn't agree with the rest that it still lacks some percussion, that's all nice. Maybe some more edit/build-ups would have been nice. But you say you have rocked the club with it, so if it works, it works you know.
And getting plays by Guy Ornandel is pretty great too imo! Synth is sounding pretty nasty too, cool...

Yeah like this track, definitely has its own style.

Hey man. Nice track! It's pretty deep and there's some cool sounds goin on. Maybe could do with another synth goin through it tho on a higher octave than the main one. Not sure if that would would change the mood of the track but it would accompany the main lead. Maybe toughen up the clap/snare and treble sound too.

Nice name of the tune tho. I have made a tune called 'Driven' too.

mmm i like the electro synths, both the lead and the bassline at the start can see it rocking a club

i think overall the problem is that it is a bit too simple. not a major deal cause the elements sound very clear and quite pro. i think that after the build, it gets a little bit boring, do something with the lead or a bassline key change or something. also agree that a couple more layers of percussion could be cool.

i'll add this to soundstation351 playlist if you don't mind?

Absolutely, go for it =)

I made 95% of this tune during lunchbreaks in the last week of my summer job last year, so that might explain the somewhat minimal feel to the tune. I agree with some of you when you say that it's lacking something almost intangible; I tried countless things with this track for many hours and found nothing that didn't really violate the original feel of the tune. If I were to remix this tune now I'd do as Illicit suggest and add more little buildups and edits, but I think I'm pretty much done with it and will just move on to other projects.

Thanks for the comments guys, glad some of you enjoy it.
