Pet Shop Boys

Maybe this thread show my age... but anyway, some fan of this great duo? Best tracks? Best remixes?
They introduced me in electronic music when i heard "Always on my mind" in 1987. I love their unique style, their strings, their melancolic keyboards, their taste for good sounds, their lyrics, their dance addiction. Maybe they are not in a "first place" today, but i think that is a consecuence that me and other people come into trance music, a music with FEELING.

The best remixes :
Discoteca - Throuser Entusiasts Beyond the Stellar Empire mix
A red letter day - Throuser Entusiasts Autoerotic Decapitation mix
Yesterday (When i was mad) - Jam & Spoon mix
New York City Boy - Lange mix

The best tracks :
Being boring
Rent
The survivors
Left to my own devices

I've never cared for their original work but the Trouser Enthusiasts Mix of "Discoteca" was one of the best tracks of 1996 and the Trouser Enthusiasts Mix of "Somewhere" is also great!

Still remember the first time I heard "West End Girl" back in 85. Ahh... Memories...

Oops. I forgot:

Being Boring is a wicked song.

I've got all of their albums - and I think I will continue buying them. The same goes for Depeche Mode. There really was a lot of great music from Britain in the 80's. Best track would have to be "It's a sin" I think...or perhaps "Domino dancing".

Talking about the Pet Shop Boys....I just saw the video of "Domino Dancing" 2 days back...and guess what? I think it was the other half of PSB (not Neil).....he was at the decks with a mixer at a house party...those decks were damn old-skool...but it reminds me of how music has evolved into the scene we have today.

I have been listening to the works of Pet Shop Boys for ages....and I must say that they have indeed pioneered and incoporated the use of electronic sounds into their music.

Great Thread! i've got a question though> How can I get hold of the Trouser Enthusiasts Mix of "The Red Letter Day"..Man I really fancy this track alot....

Cheers
