Something I've been working on the last couple of days. Just wanted to get it up online to get some feedback and suggestions, so eq is a bit muddy (did it in headphones).

Anyways, enjoy.

Your 303 sounds are fricken dope, right on the money. The bass is the weakest element, it just sounds frail compared to the rest of the track, and as though it's missing a lot of sub-bass or something.

Other than that, this is pretty cool. Good use of background FX and reverb. Work on the bass, and maybe throw in a few more percussive elements, and as you mentioned clean up the general muddyness of the track.

Pretty solid mate. Love what you did with the synth (HiPass?). Other than the overall muddy feel, I think it's excellent, can't wait til you clean it up.

Sean, I'll take into consideration what you said about the bass. I was trying to get it to sound meaner, so I recognise that it needs work.

StealthAssassin, I used a low pass filter on the synth. Actually, I didn't have a choice, its a 303, it only has low pass.

Thanks for the comments, keep em comming.

got your PM cheggy.. this definitly sounds better then the last piece I've heard of yours.. that remix by Phillip Bauss (XTC).. but it really wasn't your fault that it sounded funny.. a hard trance song in major just doesn't work.. I wonder what happened to that guy

the off bass definitly needs some sub bass.. not TOO much though becuase it will take away from the meaness (which is awesome) and becuase it will saturate the kick..

The TB-303 is AWESOME.. reminds me of the techno song from blade 2 by Voodoo and umm... the other guy Rebirth does it again! Oh, if you want a VSTi version of Rebirth get Audiorealism Bassline.. just as good and it's a VSTi..

really pro.. can't wait to hear the final master!

Voodoo & Serano - Blood is Pumping? That's a classic, love that track. I have Audiorealism's Bassline. I set Rebirth on fire and through it out the window once i got ABL, this program rocks.

Puttng 2k into monitors soon so eq should no longer be a problem. Glad to here you liked it mate, will let you know when its finished.

'sfunny, usually people's names give them some kind of indicator as to what sort of stuff you'll be hearing, so am looking to see what hey cheggy sounds like .....

And in a word: quality. Sounded like you knew what you were talking about on the reviews you give and this shows it.

You get a very nice pro sound. The mix sounds really nicely spaced out and it sounds to my ears you're using a lot of "secrets" that's pros use to get their background FX so there and yet not (if that makes sense).

Gotta sound like a broken record tho and say I agree with others that the bass end is the weak link in this. Odd, cos the rest is bang on mate, bang on. I'm really impressed with the FX, would be 100% - (stopping typing cos 303 has just kicked in - the levels and relationship with the rest of the mix is spot on - like it very much.) - otherwise.

Just sort that bottom end out and you'll be laughing.

Sweet, thanks guys. You were right about the bass. Put some virus bass in there to fatten things up a bit. Went and had a listen to it on some DynAudios and the eq is definitely off. Getting some reveal actives this week so should be right soon.

Really Big Sound, But I dunno if you may have used too much reverb because its sounds REALLY FAR AWAY, like I recorded it AT a Club. But I guess it works for the track however as the 303 sound needs to be quite close.
I really started liking the track however when LESS was going on at around 2:50, heh
However its build up was too short and when the beat came in it didnt feel hard hitting. Tou should have bought it in with less percussion for a while because the percussion ruins the hype, maybe only for me. But as I reconised the percussion from the begining the whole thing felt like it was building up towards something amazing.
And it never got there

As for the Eq being off, well Id like to know where because it sounded fine. Just a littel muddy.
