EM - Passion Field (BreakBeat sample)

Hi guys, i wrote something short here. I wanted to ask if the melody is too happy for a trance tune ? what do you think ? Anyway, it still needs some more perc, bass etc . Let me know what you think.

You're asking if the melody isn't too happy for a TRANCE tune but you compose breakbeat Very interesting.
I think it could be good chill-out tune with this melody but not trance.

heey mate
i think it sounds too happy for trance, although i like some of the key changes! you should try making it chillout as fractal said.
good luck!

Cool

this sounds like one of them tracks on an album thats just nice to listen to but isn't really there for any reason, i like, percs are too trancy, get some other samples... + add a bassline!

i'd like to have a go at doing a chilled breaks mix of this if i can, no promises tho add me to your msn if you have it [email protected]

Like the chords and personally think there's always room for interesting/happy chords - Photon Project - Thoughts is beautiful and it's chords are quite nice-ish.

You should see what you can come up with on this one matey. I like the feel of the fourth to fifth chord change especially. To me though the seventh chord doesn't fit somehow (comes in at the 25th bar) - jars against the ones you've already started with - but you're onto something IMO.

Be nice to hear if you could do a trance tune with it though.
Just gotta love different chord sequences!
