Real madrid seem to be faultering a lot at the moment and when morientes scored late on in the bernabau to make it 4-2 i had a sneeking suspicion that monaco may be able to pull off a result.

lets hope milan don't do the same tomorrow night and that celtic can hammer villareal.

Whilst I hate Madrid I was looking forward to a tasty semi-final of Arsenal v Real Madrid, a real clash of the titans. Instead we have, on paper at least, quite a weak champions league this year.

When will Madrid finally accept that defence is important? They keep talking about how investing in defence is conceding defeat, but they conceded three goals to lose the cup final to a mediocre side a few weeks back and have conceded five to get knocked out of Europe here. They are only a point ahead of Valencia in the Primera and there are four teams who can still win the league. Madrid could get nothing this year.

If they had a couple of top class centre backs it'd be a different story.

As for loaning out Morientes to Monaco and letting him knock them out of the tournament, that's just plain stupidity. To be honest I think UEFA should ban that sort of thing it's ridiculous.

The match seems so FIXED when I saw the asian handicap was level. Won $ on monaco

I will admit Madrid is one of my fave teams ,but I've always said that their defence would ruin their title hopes eventually.They need to do somethin about it.Anyways great win for Monaco WOW.
