I meant to post this thread yesterday, but I just get so distracted with that damn religion thread...
Howard Stern and Bubba the Love Sponge have gotten fired off the radio for their... "offensive" shows that have gone on for about ten years. There was a debate on it yesterday on CNN which I just happened to watch with great amusement. The radio host had some excellent points. He asked, "Why, if the show is so horrible and so offensive, it is NUMBER ONE IN THE NATION?" I think my laughter woke the babies when he told the woman he was debating with "The only reason why you're happy that they got kicked off the air is because it makes your parenting easier. Instead of monitoring what your children were listening to, you just complain and strive to get two well known talk show hosts fired. Well, good job, I suppose it's easier for you to be a mom now."
Whats the difference between an offensive talk show host and a genre of music you don't like? If you dislike the music, you don't turn to that station. If you dislike the host, you don't listen to him. Simple as that.

** Well, since I reside in Tampa, and bubba was on 98 rock....I found that a lot of kids do in fact listen to it. I listen to the morning show with bubba. "Love line" is awesome. The thing is he does have ("nc-17") verbal usage in his show. You all are right nevertheless. If you don't want to hear it, then don't listen to it. Also, parents have a choice in whether they will allow their children to listen to the nonsense. Howard Stern is also another example of bullcrap. Well, everyone watches it, only because Americans watch too much t.v. I don't watch that much t.v. (maybe about two hours a week.) And then it's only to hear music. America put it on t.v., so America took it off. The country is somewhat unorganized with public affairs. All in all, like previously stated before if you don't agree with it don't watch it.

Wasn't there a warning on the radio station before they came back on break about bubba's show?
****hmm....good question. Not sure because I wasn't too fond on listening to that channel predominately. I can assure you thought, that there was some type of headline or warning before hand.

And what happens if the kids go out of the house and over to a friends house to watch/listen to it. Not everyones parents are going to restrict something like that. Or just buy a new invention known as a portible cd player (with radio) or portable radio player. It's.....that......easy
