Well a lot of his remixes are quite minimal, so I guess he's the kinda guy that you're either gonna love or find really boring.
Personally I love all his stuff - though he has done some crap remixes like the non-vocal remix of Lustral - Everytime (what the hell was that?). But overall I reckon he's great.

A few days later i buy a double CD mixed by himself. I think he's great (mixing).

Yeah well that's all part of his genius I guess.....
I mean take a look at what he did with Doom's Night - it was his remix that made that track popular and made it chart and it sounded completely different to the original. I mean no-one would have heard of that song if it wasn't for him. And basically the whole remix was made from just two or three tiny samples that appeared at the beginning of the original version. He basically made a lot of money for the people behind that track, and I guess that was the remix that kicked off his rise to fame.
Anyway, each to their own. I can understand why some people don't like him all that much, because his music can be a bit too uneventful at times, but I like progressive music so that side of his productions don't bother me at all.
[PS: Don't worry about it mate, I'm not about to blast a fellow Melbournian. ]

I LOVE timo's remixes... I like minimal/progressive types of trance so I guess i don't mind it either.
Productions like Green Velvet - (Camera's ready prepare to) Flash (Timo Maas Remix), his remix of "Dooms Night" by azzido da bass, remix of Special-K, and others.. they make me wanna dance my ass off!
His new album "Connected" is a masterpiece, i'd recomend it to anybody wanting to try a more groovier sound!

lol... timo made one remix of that, that took him ages to do and he really liked it... he gave it to the record company and they told him it was shite, so out of spite, he made the remix we know and love in an hour and a half... and i definatly disagree with u that that track that kicked off his rise to fame.... Der Sheiber.. Ubik... Riding On A Storm.. his other remixes of pop tunes.. all that started his rise to fame
personally i think u will be well pushed to find a better technical DJ on the planet.. ok the stuff he plays mite not be everyones cup of tea (although i luvvvvvit!!) but he is a technical genius... if u have seen him live then u will probably agree with me
