So, I call up this girl to see what was up for the night(she gave me her number a few days before). She said there was a house party going on late that night(she told me one of her 'guy friends'-already sounding bad- from high school just rented a house and was celebrating)and that I should come along. I told her, "Ok, but you call me when you're ready." She did call me up, an hour later than expected though. I almost did not expect her to call at all.

I meet up with her at the house; she got out of her car with another couple and her boyfriend(I didn't know he was till later on). Go in the house and start talking to other guys in there... didn't know anybody but the girl. As more people come over, it is starting to look bad. All I see are a bunch of guys... I think the total number was something like 5 girls and 15 guys or so. Eventually I find out about the boyfriend and my interest in her(and the party itself)was quickly dropping.

4 of the girls were pretty hot but they all had their boyfriends with them. I also barely got to talk to the girl that invited me along... she was too busy talking to everybody else or smoking out in the cold. We talked for maybe 15-20 minutes at the most... and nothing that indicated her interests for me.

I figured, "alcohol, party, me, her," chance for me to seduce her over or at least get some hands on action. But I wasn't going to do any of that stuff with her boyfriend there. So I wanted to get out asap(but I had no other plans that night)and I already had a little too much to drink.

I think I actually did better with the other hot girls, but they were all pretty much wasted(so was I). All the girls eventually left with their boyfriends.

I left at 5-6 in the morning with a hangover and no new numbers. Damn, even trying to use the girl as a 'hookup' to her other friends didn't seem to work... as they were all taken anyway.

Do you guys think I should still keep in touch with her? I don't ever plan on calling her again to do anything... but she is SO HOT and we get along great(at least at school anyway).

When you're young relationships don't usually last that long, stay friends with her and she might eventually break up with him leaving you with a chance. As for the party, not every party you go to is going to be great...as long as you have a decent time it's cool. Even if it doesn't look like you can hook up with this girl, I still say stay friends since you get along well. Who knows what might eventually happen.

I don't know if you'd consider us young(we're both in our early 20s)...

I did have a decent time at the party and I talked about guy stuff(cars, sports, home theaters, etc.)with some of the guys there... seemed like people I could hang out with(and I DO need more friends).

However, I didn't talk to the boyfriend all that much; maybe just a sentence or two. It's better not to get too friendly with a guy who's girl you want to fuck, right?

But, man, this girl seems to have a lot of guy friends, so I wouldn't exactly be the first or only one in line.

it looks to me that you are assed out, my friend...

a girl who gives her number when you ask for it with the intention of dating her should tell you that she is single and ready to mingle...not sure what the full story is but she played you good...

i wouldn't bother waiting for her to break up with her current boyfriend before you get a chance at her...more than likely you are yet another victim of the Let's Just Be Friends syndrome...

well you can still stay friends with her...odds are she has other hot friends and would be willing to hook you up with them...nothing wrong in that...but in the meantime it's probably better that you go back out into the world and start hunting for new numbers =)

yeah, as PCO above said. move on...no point in wasting your time over a girl that's already got a BF. just so you know - getting a number is no big deal at all (trust me, i get 2-3 numbers a week from "hot" (and some not-so-hot ) girls so i've been down this road all too often) and only a tiny fraction of these women are really interested in you seriously, but they give you their number anyway because basically they find it too unconfortable/awkward to straight out tell you they dont wanna go out with you.

its also possible she just wants to use u for extra attention, which women love.

Just stay friends with her like others have mentioned. You guys get along, so you might as well just keep talkin'. You see her at school anyway, right? And you might want to be careful about dating this one if you guys get together in the future if her and her BF don't work out. It would piss me off if I was dating a girl and she gave her number to some guy she met. Who knows how often she does that.

So when I called her, a guy answers(I thought it was her dad, but when I found out she really wasn't 'single', it was probably her boyfriend).

Now how would you guys feel if some guy you don't know called and asked for your girl? On a cellphone you pay for at that?

She doesn't work cause she goes to school full-time. I do see her at school, but only till this semester gets over, which is in mid-February. After that, it would probably be up to me(not her), to keep in contact

Maybe I would have found out upfront if I had asked for a date specifically, rather than asking her, "We should hang out sometime." I never really asked for her number anyway, she just offered it to me after I said that.

sounds like you got good advice above, keep in touch, you never know....but dont act like you want her... sometimes, girls want what is most unattainable...dont ask why, we're just backwards sometimes....so if you can pull off that vibe (not interested in her) it could help too.
