software issues
Hi there,
I recently bought a new computer and as a result had to re-install all my audio software from my other computer onto the new computer.
Everything installed fine except now when I try to run Fruity Loops and add a new channel i.e V-station (on the new computer) every now and then I get an error which says Fl.exe encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I never used to receive this message on the 'old computer'. Also, when I am able to load Fruity and then try to add channel V-station I sometimes get this message "problem loading v-station for an unknown reason. Please make sure it has been installed correcly.
I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling but no luck. The weird thing is that sometimes it will allow me to add v-station as a channel and be fully functional. note this error does not only pertain to v-station, I also get error with other vsti's. sometimes it allows me to open my Fruity projects, whereas other times it will not recognise the plugins.
The only reasons I can think it is doing this is because 2 Hardrives connected with Raid ie 2 working as one or because the CPU uses hyperthreading, or even because my 2 computers are networked, however I could be clutching at straws.
I know you guys are guru's when it comes to things like this and therefore I hope someone will be able to assist.
oh by the way I am running XP Pro on the old and XP home on the new computer, both have heaps of RAM
thanking you in advance.
