You want sad stuff? How about W.A Mozart - Requiem, it's beautiful, specially the piece Lacrimosa
Also I recommend Joaquin Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez, and from there the Adagio piece. It's one of the most beautiful spanish classical compositions. I recommend the version with Joaquin Rodrigo on guitar, it's the best one out there.

i like shastokovich (sp?) string quartets..... they are pretty intense....
