changing a kick's pitch using ReDrum?

Is this possible? Like in Fruity you can set the differant pitches of each hit with that drop down menu (its light orange for 'off' steps and darker orange on 'on' steps). How can I do this in Reason? Would I have to sample the kick using an NN19 ? Seems long winded to me and im sure there is a way round.

Any help?

i'm not sure what you mean, and i dont have reason here to check it. (im at uni) but there is a pitch knob on some channels of the redrum.
you can automate that.

also you can load a kick in a nn19 and just play it on different notes. or use the pichtwheel. you can use automation here as well.

i hope this helps, otherwise i never posted this

john

lol, oke

but if you want a kick to play notes like, C,B,C,A,D,G,F,etc etc just use the nn19. i always use nn19's for my kicks (that doesnt mean you have to do it but im just telling you i am )

or you can set the pitch velocity and change the velocity per note...

As in a few topics above yours you can attach a matrix sequencer to your rack, connect the note cv from it to the pitch cv from a redrum channel nd there you go. I hope you know what to do if your drums sound akward high when you atach it, don't you.
