NeoPhono - Fresh

I'd like you guys to give my newest song a listen and give me some feedback. I can already tell you the kick probably needs beefed up, but I'm hoping for some comments on melody/structure, etc. Thanks for listening and I hope to hear anything you have to say (good or bad).

Thanks

i like this man, its chilled out the synths and pads are awesome, like your sed percussion needs work.. but love the overall feeling of this, its layed back and definately has a trance state, with the filtering and whatnot.

percussion levels are definately way too low, sitting under the mix, so just bring em up.

i would tweak the intro a lil more.. also u should make the percussion a lil more interesting, more hats, or percussion sounds.. just an idea.

good stuff.

I liked it when I first listened to it, reminds me of music used for a game Well, it's a good track, but I still think it needs mastering..

Why don't you try another bassline? I think it's to poor for this track, it could bring up the energy in this track which is missing.

And yes, perc are too low at times.
Also try to strengthen the strings/pads, it might work too.

Thanks for the reviews. As far as tweaking the intro, is there anything you can recommend. I realize that the beginning would be difficult as far as mixing into a set, but I'm not sure how I would start it otherwise, except just starting with the filtered drum sound. As far as the bass line, I had a busier line before, but I found that the faster notes took away from the bottom end. I think I'm going to try putting it back in and seeing if I can still keep the roundness that the classic offbeat bassline has now. Any suggestions to help with this or anything else?

Also, just wondering, what does "music made for a game" mean. I don't care if its a bad thing, I'm just not sure how to take it.

Can't say i liked this, it needs variation, and the kick is too weak + the melody is too simple. I dont mind the bassline, its pretty good . The synths are great by the way!
Keep working on it.
Cheers .

I like the bass, percussion & synth work.

I don't like the melody and the lack of variation.

Keep working on it.
