Bass Drum drop Effect?

I want to recreate a bass drum drop effect I've heard in a lot productions on TA. Its hard to describe but John OC uses it in his Feels Like Flying remix. Around 0:53, just before the bass ride comes in.

I've got no webspace unfortunately, so can't give you a sample, but I'm guessin most TA's will have this track on their hard drive, as its amazing.

I get the bass drum ripple after it, its just the drop effect I'm afta. Helps to set a scene so much.

I'm using Fruity and have got a wide variety of vsti's, no hardware .

Any help at all would be SO appreciated.

Cheers guys.

Any chance you could post a small weblink to the portion in the track that has the effect you're after? I don't have that track sitting here at the moment - there are probably a lot of ways to do it, but if I could hear an example of what you mean I might be able to be of more help

Ryan.

I think I know what you mean...when the bass drum is playing and when the rhythm stops, the last bass drum beat sounds normal but then pitches down sub bass type. What I do is I use Time Stretch in Cubase and slow the sample down...obviously the waveform is going to get longer. I keep playing with it until it fits with the rhythm.

It's the sound that Ronski speed uses in all of his tracks. It's a very common sound, should be easy to find. I made mine with pro 53, but there's one out there called like 808_boom.wav or something.

Scott Mac - Damager 02

Good example of the effect you're talking about.
