Back to basics

I've decided to take my production back to basics, ignore most of the crap I've made and simply start again because there are probably lots of little fundemental things I'm doing terribly wrong making all my tunes sound crap, so what I'm asking is does anyone have some begginer tutorials for me to read through.

I've googled and searched the forums but I'd like any links incase I havn't seen them and they are useful. If any are program specific I'm usinf Fruity 4 Producer ed.

If you think tutorials are a waste of time and will make me sound formulaic for the rest of my life please STFU!!
