how low may be the bass?

everytime i produce a nice deep bass it sounds really great on my genelecs! but if i listen to the same sound on cheap speakers it destroy somehow the other frequencies. it simple sounds distored and has a bad noise..

so my question is, how low or how do you generally make powerfull basses?

thx for the help!

When I first read that i thought you were implying bass makes your balls feel good, yeah.

Anyway for deep basses I just use a single sine wav, with no boost in eq and that does the job.(I dont really go for too deep anyway)
As for that problem you have, try mixing at lower levels. Remember everything sounds good and loud when your mix is loud. You might find certain things cant be heard at all at low levels, and normaly when mixing bass on speakers in the wrong enviroment we boost the bass a bit too much. Try mixing on low levels on headphones too. the best speakers aint gonna give you the best impression of your mix in other enviroments, infact the worst ones are.
(that said however, dont dedicate mixing on radio speakers)
Your speakers might be able to produce the bass really deep but Im guessing your trying this quite loud.
Try playing the mix at lower levels on those speakers and see if the bass starts swamping the mix.

according to my frequency chart, 50-100hz is fine on big speakers, 250-800hz is the muddy area and 800-1K will make the bass sound better on smaller speakers.

Personally speaking, if my tracks sound good on a big system then I don't really care how they sound on a pair of $15 computer speakers.
