Beats in Reason [help]

I'm having trouble with making loops in reason (redroum), in the final mix they are not good to dance.
what tips can u tell me to do my beats punchy, & which can make people in clubs jump! (techno & trance beats)

maybe also you can give me a good refill to download for techno-trance beats in REDRUM.

thanks

It's all in the layers. Multiple hihat patterns, shakers, maybe even bongos.

I've never needed to compress any of my percs (apart from the beat) and never had problems making them sound good.

thanks..
I never used this compresser shitt.
it seems interresting, I just know 1 thing about it, that dont let any distortion happen.

but there are some details I really want to know about it such"
Ratio, Tresh, Attack & Release.
should I let them as they are at the default?
