I am not sure, but I would get some nice Senns.
I have the Technics RP-1200 and they are great for DJing and I don't get any discomfort, but when I sit with them at work I find the pressure is really too much and it does not feel good on the ears. FYI, the Technics are supra-aural so they sit on your ear but still do a great job with sound isolation.

i will be like most. Get the hd280s. Great phones that feel good and sound great. I also own rpdj1200s which work fine for dj use but for listening/dj use i perfer the hd280pro.

For the love of god avoid v700 like the plague. Besides the fact that their horrible sound and way overdone bass is made for deaf DJ's, they're flimsy pieces of plastic shit that will break on you. Mine did, and I took the finest care of them.
all of the aformentioned headphones have the normal jack that will fit into most sound cards and walkmans and the like correct?

In this price range they should have a 1/4" plug and come with a 1/8" adaptor. My Technics work by having a 1/8 plug and then the 1/4 adaptor screws into it so it is very secure and will no come off while maintaining a solid connection.
