-------this night is here because there is really nowhere to go for trance anywhere really during the week----------
.....especially with talented djs like jon.so i hope that the totally negative and unproductive ramblings of the one whatever its name is above will not throw you off.....we are trying hard to work out any bugs and any feedback is definitly requested as long as it comes in a educated and civil form......we are all here together, we all love music............peace goldfinger |
Well we were dissapointed with the music by the first two DJs. especially since we were expecting Trance. After all ""this night is here because there is really nowhere to go for trance anywhere really during the week"" (well that still stands after last night) and after all it is a tranceaddict sanctioned party.
Jon obir luckily started getting trancy halfway through his set and then did throw down some really great tunage. his mixing is fucking perfect/ had a decent time/ my friends girlfriend who was driver had to work early so we left around 3-315.

Jon Obir was amazing (lets say its 1:45, and I woke up 30 minutes ago)
It was going along kind of slow, and then he dropped Fallen.
That just fucking kick started the night into high gear and there was no looking back from there on.
Sound Emporium is a nice enough venue, good sound, lots of blinky lights
I would go back for sure.
It was really nice to see some TAs again, becuase Ive been in hibernation so shoutouts to everybody I saw, I wont try naming cuz I will inadvertantly miss somebody who will take offense.
for constructive criticism. Both Goldfinger and Sean Crawford opened too slow for my taste. Being the first 5 people in the club at 20 after 11, I was nearly lulled to sleep by 1:30.
Too much fog. I know it makes the lights show up, but when you cant breath and your eyes are all dry from it, its a bit excessive. Maybe mount it in the roof instead of on the floor?
too freaking loud. Once it got busy, the sound situation fixed itself, but for the entirety of the opening sets, it was overpoweringly loud for the 20 people that were in the club.
With all that criticism, not a single one would affect my returning. Id be back there, but could maybe have a better time if those problems were resolved.
Oh, and how about cheap(er) drinks before midnight? Make an incentive to not show up just last minute. Next time, I might just cut my losses, forget the reduced list, go at 1, have 3 drinks at home, and Ive just saved money that I would have wasted at the club. Drink incentives might draw more people earlier??? maybe??
All in all I give the night 8/10
