i think 1500 km and only 6 days is a bit short to see a lot. if i were you i would go to paris, amsterdam, london, berlin or vienna and explore those city as much a possible. i think it is nice to explore citys, cultures more in detail than briefly

tolls in France aren't that much, so that wouldn't be a big problem.
i would go from london to amsterdam, then to paris, going to monaco after that, and from there to venice. all beautiful cities to visit, but 6 days is a short time though. i really loved monaco when i went there 3 years ago. walked the whole circuit when it was 35 degrees celsius

thanks for all the input guys....yea i know 5/6 days is short, but i don't really have a choice.....i'll be meeting my parents in venice on the 2nd....my friend has a car so it should be good fun...
one more things, how strict are they about drinking while driving? zero tolerance? i can't imagine its as bad as the US.
