Any participants in here?

I was @ the Toronto event which gathered about 8000 in the pouring rain

Heard there was a million marchers in Rome.

Apparently abut 6000 showed down here (not sure if that was Sydney or Melbourne though). Not huge amount, but considering the amount of publicity it received it was a decent turnout.

yeah, it's much more difficult to stage a huge protest like the ones that took place last year, because ending the occupation of Iraq is much more complicated than simply protesting a war like we were February, 2003.

I was just there marching for peace, and it was a great time.

Rome was the largest, but 1m protesters it was not. The highest legitimate count was 250,000.

There were about 10000 protestors here. Quite a lot, but that was because the government is deciding on whether to send our own troops to Iraq or not.

Since there's already a March 20th thread, I'll just add the picture here. When conservatives talk about "treasonous" protests, it's perhaps an embellished claim, but always includes some element of truth. This was taken at the San Francisco protest. I don't swear here much, but if this guy had balls, I'd rip them off and stuff them down his fucking throat.

Same (sentiment) here, but...

Iraq still had nothing to do with those towers falling though, and we were misled by our leadership about the urgency of the threat that Saddam posed.

But were our leaders misled too?

I think thats the greater travesty.
People being misled, happens all the time. Leaders, thats dangerous.

I'm pissed Conda, and Tenet still have their jobs
