Well, I'd say that was the understatment of the year!!!!
Fuckin hell, lost in the whole game is that the Avs put a whoopin on the canucks, also acquired Matthew Barnaby from the rangers, and finally seem to be playing better! All I can say is that I hope tonights game becomes the catalyst that propels the avs through the playoffs. Now if Forsberg can get healthy I'll be happy

Well put. Just caught the highlights, must have been a hard first period for the nucks.

Well the original post was actually about last weeks game
I slept through the game, and I have just seen the highlights... err lowlights from last night.
Not much to say here, except is was a brutal game from the Canucks. People are making far too big of deal out of this Bertuzzi/Moore incedent IMO. Bertuzzi is likely to get suspended, but i have a feeling it will be longer than he deserves. Peter Worrell should get suspended too/

Whooooops didn't even notice that your post was about last wednesdays game. Anyways, Bertuzzi HAS BEEN suspended w/out pay indefinately. Why should Worrell be suspended, he was only retaliating like any teams enforcer should. I mean c'mon, thats the only reason we've got him, its not like he can skate Anyways, I'm sure that Moore will be fine, and like I stated earlier I hope this is the catalyst that propels the avs through the playoffs.

Worrell should be suspended because he tried to spear some players on the Canucks bench, then tried to fight a fan after something was thrown at him. In my eyes, the Canucks' season is finished. They'll never go anywhere with Cloutier in goal, and now that Bertuzzi is likely to made and example of, you can kiss the season and any type of playoff run good bye. The Avs look to be in good shape IMO, also they have just aquired another qaulity golaie in Tommy Salo. Meh. Unless the Canucks can get Kolzig I think that's all she wrote.

Hehe not unless you count broken vertebrae as being fine. I missed the fight and I'm trying to dl the video off of espn but no luck there. Sounds pretty brutal.

Yes, at the time of my post it hadn't been made public that he had a vertebrae problem as a result of the hit. Looks as though he's done for the season. . .
Good thing we got Salo though, although I don't really agree on the Morris trade, time will tell if Lacroix worked his magic though. . .

Let's see here, I'm Canadian, grew up playing the game and what bertuzzi did was just inexcusable (no matter if it was to get back at a guy who cleaned the lead scorer out for 3 games). He sucker punched the guy from behind with the glove on, he did not have the puck then throws him to the ice and lands on the kid's neck and he shattered two vertebres. Throw the fucking book at bertuzzi, it was a disgraceful incident and he needs to get at least 8 games for that pile of crap.

^I agree. (must stop doing that with TTA)
Hell, I want Bertuzzi to do well, considering he's my player in a pool, but that was absolutely fucking unprofessional.
Ban him for rest of the season including playoffs.
