I'm almost positive that it is coming from the mixer. I have experimented with this: I hooked my mp3 player into the soundcard and there was no hum. Also when I unplug the cables from the back of the Master outs on the mnixer, the hum goes away and when I plug them back in, the hum comes back. I've tried it with the RCA and 1/4" Master outs and the Booth Monitor

Something even stranger, even when the power to the mixer is off, i can still hear the hum from the speakers, its softer than when the power is on but its still there. Someone recommended to me that i get some kind of electrical plug adaptor that takes a 3-progned plug (pos,neg, and ground) and makes it into a 2 pronged plug. (this is US plugs)

I had the same problem as you did. It seems like you have a ground loop between your pc and mixer. What i did for mine was i hooked my pc up to a different circuit from the one that my dj gear was hooked up too (not necessarily different outlet but on a different circuit breaker). That seemed to reduce almost all hum. Another thing, that 3prong-2prong trick helped my laptop's ac adapter ground loop issues when i play out w/ traktor.

Heck, at home depot 3-2 prong adapters are only around $2ea and all you need it for is to seperate your pc from audio equipment's grounding. I promise that will help.
