We know that he is releasing a new compilation for Global Underground, this year. and it is out in June. What is it all about and What do they have to say about it.

Sasha (aka Alexander Coe) is one of the biggest deejays and artists of our time. He released AirDrawnDagger in 2002 and it was a favorite album of many of us. Well now comes word that Sasha will release a Global Underground Mix Compilation called "Involver" in June.

Later in the conference (3/8), as one of dance music's most artistic innovators, Sasha threw a private listening party on a tiki boat for the press and some of his friends to hear new material from his up coming album, Involver (out 6/22). All were blown away by the incredibly emotional work where a plethora of musical worlds collide into a space that somehow explains all the reasons to live, love, lament and simply be alive. Taking the soul-searching, ambient aesthetic of his last artist album, airdrawndagger, Sasha turns up the volume in these new tracks to expose a passion for understanding the self on a universal level where drum beats, lonely echoes, hooks, guitar strumming and bridges make Sasha's music like no other's. Look for great things to happen with this album.

So this means that Global Underground have again set the standard and it is also rumored that Sasha might do Delta Heavy 2 in late 2004.

that's what i thought originally but i fucked up and changed the complete article. Still new sasha material and sasha re-edits...is better than 99% of stuff these days.

have there ever been any GU's where an artist has just spun out there own tracks?

not really

most of the time..they have spun some of their own tracks. The closest that it ever came to was gu026 were 10 of the tracks were lavelle. This is like the TPOD idea I presume but taking it a step further I would assume.
