look for companies that do dub plate pressing but they're only good to play say 20/30+ times.

Otherwise there's no true alternative financially. The other way being having a mold made and then have the vinyl pressed but that's 200/300 bucks just for startup costs.

It's not really a viable solution if you're going to want to regurlaly play your stuff ( the dub plate solution ).

You can get a vinyl cutter.... It fits right on top of your technics actually. I wouldn't front the money for something like that though

Yea, if I had the kind of cashflow that allows someone to drop that on a whim, it would definitely be mine. You still have to figure that a blank vinyl to record on (which I don't think is even made with the same material as normal records - could be wrong) costs roughly 10 bucks. You're back where you started. Might as well hunt a copy down and pay the normal 9.99 cost. On the other hand, you could throw a few of your favorites all on the same vinyl. It may limit what you can mix, but it will definitely lighten the load of your collection!

i'm almost positive vinyl cutters can only copy other vinyls... doesn't the needle run over one record... store it into a memory & then press it on to the blank one? Well mate the best advice i can give you is just to pick up a single issue of DJ mag... within the back 25 pages there are loads of adds, and there are have to be 5-10 just for vinyl pressing... usually there is a minimum of 100 copies or so.

Vinyl cutter aka Dub plate makers can cut anything. Why do you think dub plates exist in the first place? To press a vinyl that didn't exist before so if you could only copy another vinyl ROFL I don't think it'd be very useful.
