5am - 1st Birthday at Viper Room - REVIEW
well..
what a night.
everyone from 5am and the whole crew, dj's, promoters, and everyone involved in getting tonight up and running should take a serious bow, because this party really did kick some serious ass.
Viper was quite full for most of the night, and it was a good full, and it was full of pretty good people, out for some fun, (as opposed to some Friday nights there).
The tunes -
well, 5am's mission is to deliver Euphoric and Uplifting Trance, and well they didnt disappoint... from the moment i came in, there were great tunes being played and the first one that sprung into my ears was - 'Tears From The Moon (DJ Tiesto Remix)' and 'Iio - Smooth (Airbase Mix)' were two big tunes played early..
Chris Pana's cd was thrust into my hands, whilst i was enjoying those songs, and i noticed he was playing on the decks, so he must've had the scouts out doing the rounds.. (good marketing pana)
Also heard him play Re:Locate - Waterfall which was really huge, and plenty of other tracks, which i really cannot remember right now...
After Pana and Pat, was Reemo and Jules, and i tell you what.. they really did own the place.. they had the crowd rocking, and i was very impressed with how they were able to hold the crowd, and also play some very very nice tracks...
racking my brain to think of some of ID's, but i'm drawing a blank at the moment, even though i recognised heaps of the tracks during the set. Although i do remember hearing 'Paul Van Dyk feat. Second Sun - Crush (PvD Club Mix) and GTR - Mistral, which was
After reemo and jules, it was time for Dave Begic to make his triumphant return to the DJ Stage, this time partnered up with A.Mangler, and these guys really did work well together..
Great tunes played -
Elles De Graaf - Circles of Why (Robert Gitelman Remix)
Rank 1 - Airwave (Dave Begic's Title Wave Mix)
Planet Perfecto - Bullet In The Gun (??? Remix)
Darren Tate vs. Jono Grant - Let The Light Shine In (Which blew my mind.. great tune.. and it was awesome to hear it on the big spkrs.. great selection Dave)
Saltwater - The Legacy (Alphazone Remix)
plus much much more.
got cd's from Albert and Chris Pana to listen to tomorrow sometime, and i will post up a cd-review from them too
i thoroughly enjoyed the night
well done to all concerned.. great work.. and let 5a.m THRIVE ON!!!
GREAT JOB GUYS AND GIRLS
