Amature DJ forum.... way more prog mixes than trance.

Just skipping through that forum, where i often put some of my own prog mixes up, but is it just me or are there hardly any trance mixes anymore? Considering this is TRANCE addict, i find that a bit strange.

well to me, progressive is true trance. its basically what all the lame synthlines and what not branch from...

id much rather hear progressive (now a days anyways) then trance...much more quality coming from that department

its cos sasha has got a lot more melodic(/trancey?) last year, and so more people have gotten into prog+the rise and rise of zabiela has got more people into breaks too. think i actually preferred sasha in 2001/02 when he was playing more hypnotic and deeper, but its good to see people in general diversifying their tastes in music

Ooo, ooh! I'll record a sharp one over the weekend, then.

Though looking through on my own, I don't see any particular glut of progressive.

i think that is because its a little easier to mix prog...there are a couple of people in there that are good, but the majority kinda suck tracklist wise...

also i've been thinking about doing some older mixes of like 93-95ish stuff...would you guys want to listen to them if i do em??

Prog is not easier to mix than normal trance. Trance is soooo much easier to mix.
