Hi all,

I'm looking on this board for a good website designer that can revamp our company's website. I have taken the responsibility of redoing the look of the site. Right now it looks terrible. We are a small medical laboratory in Atlanta, GA.

Before I got there a guy outside of our company with www.localnetsolutions.com did the design. To me it looks like a high school project. We need something SLEEK and PROFESSIONAL. There isn't much to it, it's mostly aesthetic changes needed. Try searching for other medical and clinical laboratory's websites and see how they look. Our clients are doctors and I just want something impressive as our website.

He put a stupid flash animation with his own voice on the front page. That's gotta go. It must incorporate the logo on the front page, like at the top corner. Don't worry about the Physicians Login, that links to an entireley different web page.

We asked the guy to try and redesign it. He came up with this...

I know, it looks basically the same. This guy is not a designer.

We want to add a A-Z, 0-9 Test Directory like at www.specialtylabs.com . We have a thick booklet of laboratory testing we do and want to add that to the site. I should be able to get some kind of file for that.

Other than that the site will contain all the same information. I want the contact page to just have email addresses other than that form. It needs to look SIMPLE but SLICK. A nice FONT other than the current one. Easy navigation and better buttons, or no buttons, whatever. We also need email addresses like [email protected][/email]. I don't know who our provider is but I'll find that out soon, hopefully.

Another important thing. I need to have access to the site so I can update it and make changes when needed.

I've been on this board for a long while now and I've seen the graphic design skills some of you have and it was impressive. I know some of you can build websites too.
This is not going to be a hard project and you will be compensated if it suits our needs.

Apparently this guy who I've talked to a few times who did the original website has full control and access to the web space and domain. I need to get the domain name back from him so I can upload a new website myself. Anyone know how to do that? We basically want to fire this guy and start new without him.

We're not looking for anything SUPER DUPER PRO, just something better than the original. I'd do it myself but I don't know too much about web paghe building, only a little.
