The less weight you have on the tonearm, the better it is for your vinyl... but the more likely you are to get skips when backcueing. I have mine on about 1.5g usually, but there are a couple of my records that jump a lot and I put it up to 2.5g when mixing those.
Apparently, you should put the anti-skating on the same setting as your tonearm weight... however, I can't notice any difference between when it's on 0 and when it's on maximum .
Does your anti-skating setting affect your vinyl wear? Anybody?
