Go to Germany like I did. They're cheap there...

Is there any issue with the power supply on it? Because I know that appliances over here in the UK run on a different voltage to America but i wasn't sure if it was the same for Europe?

PS. Sorry if this is a really lame question but it's worth finding out before i buy one.

No, it's not a lame question. I did ask it myself too.

All devices work on 230 V and 50-60 Hz in Europe, but most of them have a different connector than the one in the UK: two round plugs. So you need to buy a UK connector (some sort of traveladaptor) to put it in between them.

Check:

And compare the prices...

Cheers!

Cheers for the sites.

Yeah I knew about the adapter but it was the voltage that i was concerned with because i now know america works on 110V.

But... you can get a step down/up transfomer which will include the pin adapter.

Out of curiosity did you buy yours from abroad?

Yes I did.

I drove to Frankfurt and Stuttgart. This way I saved almost a 1000 Euros compared with the Netherlands...!!!
