i am just as perplexed by this tiesto phenomenon as you mate
i may be fairly new to this board but i know my trance producers and Djs quite well and i honestly don't see the reason for the worship of tiesto that is so prevalent on this forum. he is a good dj and an ok producer but there are many others who have come before and after him that are better, maybe its just personal preference but that doesnt hold too well when you consider there are several other big names out there playing the same style and tracks as he just as well and/or better. so i guess i am still perplexed...

^that's why I like Tiesto. No, his DJing isn't the best ever, but he's popular so that must say something... and as a producer he's very hit-and-miss. He's made some (IMO) great tunes like the ones above, but also plenty crappers like Traffic, Southern Suck, Love Comes Again...

And if you don't think people rant and rave about PvD and Sasha, then take a look around...

so by your logic, darude and dj sammy are popular so that must say something, and no one ever said he sucked (tiesto) ofcourse he has had some good productions, i just can't seem to figure out the infatuation a lot (not all) of the TA users have with him.

I personally rave about pvd , but only in the closet

The problem is that people are basing their opinions of him today on things he did 4 years ago.
