I see a lot more people are starting to do a live act instead of dj'ing.
We had dave clarke start doing a lot of live acts last year and I read in an interview that ritchie hawtin is looking to start doing the same. Picotto and riccardo ferri are scheduled for a couple this year as well.
Also slam announced they will be including a lot more live acts @ t in the park and in their club night; 'pressure', this year and I noticed a few in the dance valley line up as well..
so is this just a techno/electro kinda thing or are there any trance dj's ditching their turntables for the "live experience".
I dont know the reason for live acts emergence, but MIKE (aka PUSH) has been doing it for years as have a few others, i suppose theres an audience for it, and artists capatilise on that.
Nu Nrg Live Act @ Crasher [25-01-2003] was pure amzazing and the best live act I have ever seen, so I'd recommend going to see live acts!
