Question Making manual CUE files...

(i'm not sure which forum to post this question in.....)

When I can't find a CUE file for a certain live set or CD, I just go into winamp and check the time for it, and insert that time into the CUE file... but when I burn it, the beginning of each track is off by a couple of seconds, sometimes more than 10. My question is... what am I doing wrong? How can I manually create a CUE file and make the tracks fit perfectly when I burn the CD?

Thanks.

i know why it is wrong, cuz for some reason on winamp, if you have something that was the original wav, but you make it to mp3, it loses a couple seconds, not really, but on the time ticker it does, so it will be off, so maybe you gotta make it to wav first then do it, cuz i had that trouble too when i burned my mixes, so i just made the cue sheet from wavs
late
