Gielen - $5000 us or so
Corsten - 7 - $10000 us or so
Tiesto - around $20 000 us
PvD - around $25 000 us
Marco V - $5000-10000us

Just ball park figures from what I have heard from promoters, more the hype that dj has, more the $$$, obviously

Those prices (Corsten/Tiesto/PvD) seemt o be accurate for Toronto, too. Of course, those prices are due to a combination of Gold Club (cigarette company sponsorship) and The Guvernment (Toronto's only mega-club) overpaying DJ's in order to be able to write exclusivity clauses into their contracts. PvD gets paid $25K here not because he's worth it (yes, ok, he's incredible, but that kind of price starts driving ticket prices way up, which means fewer people in the club, etc), but because the Guv wanted to make sure that he won't play anywhere else in Toronto (or, I think, Canada) without them getting a piece of the action.

random examples from my books:
Judge Jules is in the region of 5k+ a big bucket of vodka+cranberry juice+a bottle of champagne (depending on which nite)
Trevor Nelson is 10k
EZ is about a grand
dave pearce you are looking at about 4k (again depending on night)
lisa lashes is a few grand from memory

Prices will vary widely depending on who you book through, etc

Don't forget his curry...

Fergie is a similar price to Jules (around 5k).

A lot depends on the venue and the amount of travel involved too. Sometimes deals can be worked out if they get another gig that's not too far away. I know Jules does this as he did that when he played at one of the clubs I play at.

JFK is around a grand or so (if my memory is correct).

The other thing to remember is that if you are doing an event, you are not going to be able to book most of these guys unless you give a lot of notice. A month or two wont be enough.

I would say to forget the likes of Picotto, Tiesto and PvD. You wont get them in a while, and if you are starting a night that you want to give some credibility etc. go for someone like Halliwell, Fergie or Jules. Gleave Dobin is another really good DJ but plays a little more funky techno than trance.

I would avoid Dave Pearce though, tends to attract the beer brigade and that has issues of it's own.

You could get Brandon Block for around 2k me thinks but again... would you want to?

John Askew is perhaps a good option, not yet in the outragous bracket but will work the night real good. Matt Hardwick is also a good option, works very well with the promo side of things as although people may not know who he is, they do know what Gatecrasher is.

Just a few thoughts on the matter.

Cheers
Nem

are travel and acomadation involved in the cost or are they separate?
what about getting them flights and somewhere to stay do i have to do this or will they?

i would have thought hardwich would cost a mint!

probly any dj above £3000 - £4000 is pushing it up here and any at that price would be rare one offs. another problem is that they do need to be relatively known.

anyone know the cost for groove armada?

groove armada are considered a headline act so i'd say over the 5000 mark, plus the fact theres two of them (i don't know if that will make a difference or not tho')

as for the accomodation that is certainly up to you and probably the same for the flights as well.
