Sasha's Return Review

I'll keep it pretty short. Sasha was damn good. I was kind of disappointed that he only played 3 hours, but it was still a well good night. He played a bunch of really great tunes, a good number of the ones from the EM. He opened up with Invisible Inc - Stars (Ambient Mix), and then a few songs later played the ID from Renaissance. Played a bunch of bangin' tunes throughout the set, and then played Flash Brothers - Amen (Lys & Gigi S Remix) as an encore, and the place exploded. I want to also give respect to Jon O'Bir, who played some nice tunes as well.

Well considering that he and Jon O'Bir were the only ones playing in the Oxygen Arena, I kind of figured that Sasha's set would be longer, not Jon O'Bir's. O'Bir played for 3.5 hours, Sasha played for 3.

i meant, if i was paying the DJ's for gods, at sasha at something like £10,000 - £15,000 an hour, or o'bir at £50 an hour, id have o'bir playing the longer set to make more money from the night.

the fee will already have been settled before the dj plays, so it doesnt matter if jon o bir plays longer, it will still cost the same to book sasha. sasha and diggers always come on late, im sure he was supposed to have played 12-4 like he did in january, but couldnt be arsed.

woah..just read your post again..10-15k an hour?? thats for the whole set, not for each hour!!

Cool

djs generally get paid a set fee, the fee goes up if the set it longer. i know tiesto was 12k for an hour, 20k for 2 hours to play in the uk, and that was 18 months ago.

so what coup says is right, jon o bir is cheaper for gk to have him play longer and have sasha play less heh
