Unhappy Burning music on CD comes out all choppy

Check out the audio from the CD

Its been happening lately and i think it has something to do with my CD writer. Its an LG and im using Roxio EZ CD creator. It doesnt look like theres a buffer problem, so whats the cause of the hiccups?

Try using another program.. I had that once and it was really crap.

Also which model burner you have?. I had an LG 16X with many problems until I upgraded the firmware. Maybe look into that also. Maybe it doesn't like the media you're using.. does it do the same with other media?

Im using an LG 48x writer with memorex media. Ive burned a ton of CD's using them, this is my 6th spindle pack so i dont think its the media since lately this problem's been happening.

Ill try updating the firmware and if that doesnt work ill try a different program

Thanks for the help

you might try slowing the speed if there is still a problem. and make sure every other program is closed, and maybe even restart before burning, but that gets annoying.

Yup i did that. I set the speed down to 8x and closed most running tasks. The sample up above was under these conditions Kinda sucks.

right click -> my computer - properties

click on hardware tab

click on device manager

click the "+" next to IDE ATA

Right click -> Properties on Primary and secondary

Click on Advanced Settings Tab

Transfer mode should be on DMA if Available

Sometimes OS's put the Secondary channel on PIO mode

Thanks, it was already on DMA if available. Burning seems to be fine now, i guess it needed a reboot
