Tonight we showcase the many aspects of drum and bass culture which highlight its incredible diversity. There will be art and fashion exhibits, live hip hop performances by Mental Sharp and Shannon Swain feat. the1shanti. We have an amazing visual showcase with VJ Kevlar and Pawn Lasers who are both leaders in their respective fields. RIXmag.com, the premier import auto and lifestyle magazine, will be in the house and you never know,but your car might be in the next issue. Denon will showcase their latest cdj and Gamecrazy are setting the video games in our entertainment room. Drum and bass draws from and influences many genres of music, art and fashion and tonight we invite you all to share in this experience.

The Housing Project (Dae Recordings)


Imagine, if you will, beautiful bodies crammed into a space that will barely hold them all. The lights are lit just enough to where you can make out the curves of bodies and the smiles on peoples faces, yet dim enough to keep everything in shadow. The bodies bounce to the infectious kick drum. Dancers’ hips sway to the hum of the deep basslines emanating from the subwoofers that are hidden in the corners of the dancefloor. Hands and arms are up in the air, flowing to the melodies controlling their movements of fluidity. This is the experience when The Housing Project puts on a party! DJs Aaron, Dj Dirty, and Dj Dennis are The Housing Project. Drawing from diverse experiences and tastes, the Housing Project manages to bring to the table smooth, laid back, jazzy melodies, stompy, tribal, and chunky House, strong percussion, flashy filters, and that bumpin' basslines . Their music and energy can be described in many ways but certain quotes just capture the true essence of The Housing Project:

As one of the founding members of Reflective and the ever popular Dizcobotz movement, Imri has managed to turn around the breaks and party scene in Philadelphia. With residencies at 4 of the cities hottest venues, Imri uses his skill and experience to drive any party through the stratosphere. His energetic style of progressive breaks have made popular in DC, North Carolina and further afield.

Fashion, Lights, Action!!!!!

Our designers for the night come from the Art Institute and Temple University. These are some of the brightest students and their concepts are simply amazing. VJ Kevlar is one of the most renowned Video Jockey/Visual experts in the country. Touring regularly with major concerts and companies, VJ Kevlar has taken a moment out of his busy schedule to make tonight and amazing experience. Not to forget Pawn Laser's, who with over 10 years of experience, are preparing to wow us with a fantastic show.
