iLLicit - Blue Sky

Another track by me. Inspired by the great weather we are having lately, this is more of a 'summer' trance track. It took me about two weeks to complete it. I'm not completely satisfied with it yet, it still needs some refinements to the arrangement and stuff, so I'm hoping to get some fresh idea's from you guys.

iLLicit - Blue Sky

good quality
kinda housy/ambient in the beginning , nice intro
i dunno what to say hehe, maybe fix the kicker a little because it doesnt have that strong enough kick in it, but it does have the (((vibration))) so thats good

anyways good stuff, pretty chilly

peace out

I like the intro too

After listening to it I've not really found anything to complain about, it's a nice tune . Slightly chilled but lively enough to keep my attention. The chord progression's good too, I didn't expect it to go up to the high minor chord but I guess that set it apart from some other tunes.

Hmmm.. Lets see.

The intro is nice, gives me very "summerish" feeling..

Bassline is simple yet effective..

Sorry to say but I don't have any fresh ideas for you...

awesome production as usual!

loving the bassline and the melody a lot..
the kick could be a bit deeper, it doesn't sound too smooth, especially in the beginning when there's no 4/4 pattern yet.

for the rest, everything sounds perfect. the intro is not that suitable for mixing, but this is more of a track to listen to at home, so i don't know if that's a problem or not.

great job overall!

Being completely honest with you, this track didn't grab me at all until something happened about 1:38 ( that synth line and all of a sudden i was nodding my head. i love that kind of deep funk that you got going there.

After that the track just kept getting better + better. I really like the way the song develops its chilled-out mood. As DJSimonB said, that minor chord is a little unexpected, (but obviously it works ) and it does make the tune stand out as being that little bit more special + good.

I wish I could imagine the summer weather that has inspired you with this tune, as it's gettin' mighty chilly down here.

I love this! Lots of nice ideas and FX. The break is very nice, you should add some reverb though as mentioned before.

Excellent work!

Thanx for the great replies everyone!!!
Really nice to hear these positive things. I will be editing the track a bit, because I'm still not satisfied and then I will look to get it out on black gold.
