Hey Swamper I was just wondering why TA radio was nixed?

ta radio wasn't actually a proper radio station, it was just people shoutcasting, that means playing there music straight over the internet and then people could tune in and listen, in a way it was ta radio coz alot of time it was played over the ta server, but simcut was the major shoutcaster and he left, tempes did alot, and so did mr_bonzai, i did a few but the demand went down and no1 listened + there was the prob that if u wernt in ta chat at the time u wouldnt no if there was a shoutcast or not, so this and the lack of demand ment they slowly died down and stopped, ive done afew and got 1 listener so if u want to listen to different stuff then www.digitallimported.com do 24/7 shoutcasts and it pretty cool

I don't know where you came up with that Coup...

The reason TA Radio didn't stay up was because of bandwidth issues on tranceaddict.org... I now have somewhere else to host the shoutcast server so it's not so bad - but I haven't bothered to do anything with it.

Since March there has been something in place that checks the shoutcast server every minute and when it's up and active it will get the # of listeners and display that on the bottom left of the menu on every page dynamically - so u don't have to be in chat to know there's a shoutcast.

It had nothing to with demand since demand was fine... it's just that if I want it done right I need to put in a lot of time and I can't do it all, one thing at a time.

exactly, simcut left, tempes got a job, bonzai didnt get many listeners, so thats why it stopped, and it wasnt always the case with the # of listeners thats newish so what i sed applied for the past which was basically when they happened
