I'll take a listen and post back, but yea I do think your in the wrong forum, I think this would go in the "Amateur DJs Promotion" section, but don't worry, no biggie and it will probably be moved there so don't freak if it disappears from this part of the Forum.

EDIT: 1) there is no link 2) looks like a nice tracklist.

EDIT EDIT: Sorry my bad about the link.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: **This is insane** Just wondering, what is your setup that you used to make this, decks? mixer?, and how long you been DJ?.

Yea found out about the link, thought the whole sentence was a link, but anyway, I wouldn't post another thread there, kinda pisses people off cos its like spamming even though its only 1 extra thread, but yea I'm sure a mod will move this.

THX for support
Here is my setup

2 Technics M3D and 1 Beringher Mixer

ok dont wanna start another war about the Beringher mixer and the Pioneer Mixter , i bought it because it is cheap and its just mainly for home use. I have been DJ for over 3 years and the past 3 years i was just spinning CDJ and working in a CDs HipHop Trend. But I changed my style to Trance and Progessive not long ago and new touch for the turntable . Now still learning for a perfert mixing . So I am welcome everyone's commends

...OMG you have the DJX700.....wait....so do I.

Yea I have that mixer, it ain't the greatest but its not bad for the money, and its not like your spinning for a club with it, but nice setup anyway, I saw your pics in the DJ Bedroom thread.

I just listening to the first transition and am 10 minutes in, it wasn't bad, the beats weren't perfectly synced but they weren't no trainwreck either, the flow from one to another was kinda off, sounds like you need to play with the EQs more, but its not bad so far.

EDIT: second transition is nice, nothing wrong at all, beats are one and it flows as one.

well i just downloaded it and scrolled through each mix. Beatmatching sounded pretty good. For some of the tracks you picked good points to mix out. While others like the first two songs seemed little weird to me. But all in all great set!

Another thing that can help: try and use the eq a little more in the highs and lows to help avoid the bass from canceling out and key clashes. Also, when i personally mix i don't use the crossfader, i just use the channel faders b/c i get a more unique curve and sound. I've noticed when your tracks mix in and out the fade seems consistant from the x-fader. One thing that i love about spinning electronic music is it gives me the freedom to make minor mistakes and make it sound more human and natural. That's one reason why i use the up faders instead of the xfader.

Good work! i need to get off my ass and record another set for you guys.

Well finished listening to the mix, theres really nothing I can't add that Chex hasn't covered, but there were some transitions that could of used more EQ fiddlin and changing the gain abit, but there were no trainwrecks and the tracks seem to go together alright, dunno how long you been DJin, but keep it up, you definately got what it takes.

So how long have you been DJin?

Good flow in the songs man. Those guys covered all the issues, but also that one time in sosei where u wanted to speed it up and the pitch change is noticable. Its alright to do that, just make it more subtle. Other than, keep up the good work fellow Vancouverite DJ

Second Demo Set
Well , I think I improved a little bit but I know I still need to learn a lot

I tried to adjust the EQ a bit in this set
but the cheap Beringer mixer is kinda weird on the Volume side

there are big different on the Level 9 and Level 10
So i found that the volume is jumping a bit

Kinda screw up a little but on the track 5 to track 6

flames welcome

Please Download new set
