ive been going over the same crap for a while now...

one thing I check is under control panel go to administrative tools, and then event viewer....

Check the application and system ones. Look for errors.

also turn on blue screen o deaths...right click my computer and go to properties....then start up and recovery. uncheck automatically restart. Then note the error.

if its ram it is usually a bunch of different errors. just go get more.

if you use the GRUB2 boot loader included with the free evaluation version of SuSE Linux 9.x, you can run a very efficient memory test to see what is going on as far as mem goes. It can be installed for free or run off a cd in the cd rom.

The fullproof way is reformat/clean install os, if it still does it then it's a hardware problem.
