Agreed 100%. Although, based on my observations some “new” people certainly are going about the wrong way to make people want to include them in ANY social group.
There is an interesting dynamic on here when new people join compared to the "real world". People new to a social group wouldn't be nearly as abrasive, confrontational and “to the point” in the "real world" as they'd get ostracized immediately for doing so. But, for some reason it seems that new people on here feel they have a green light to let it rip (whenever, wherever, about whatever and on whomever they choose).
TOTA is a VERY open group of people towards accepting new friends – probably the most open group I’ve ever seen. However – although the dynamic of how people act on TA is different (from the offline world) – the dynamic of how people choose friends/peers isn’t; a little old fashioned courtesy, common sense, maturity and manners would go along way to help people get along and being accepted.
