MIDI Keyboard Controller

I've recently bought and installed a new MIDI Keyboard Controller (Edirol PCR-30).

I've set it up and tried it in Fruityloops and it responds but I don't know how to configure the knobs to be assigned to filter cut-off, resonance, etc. I've read the user manual but it's too complicated.

Any help appreciated.

I downloaded them... put the .mid into the editor, but still I don't know how to assign the knobs to specific things. I read through the help a few times but I dunno...

MIDI between FL and a controller is interacted via numbers that assign the controller you want. What you need to do is assign the controller in FL to a knob or fader or key on your keyboard.

Hey now that you got a keyboard.... iwas looking at the same model. Could you post a review about that PCR-30? are the keys nice? is the sensitivity enough on all the controller parts? isit flimsy or well built?? etc.

VSTi's and MIDI instruments are controlled using Continuous Controllers, CC's for short.

You have to find out the relevant CC number for the function you want to alter e.g. CC 7 is normally assigned to volume control.

On your keyboard you have to assign a control pot(rotary) the cc of 7. This will then control the volume.

This is all explained on page 115 of the manual.

The control change numbers are normally supplied with the vsti's in the readme's or manuals.

If you load the control maps into the editor make sure that you transmit this to the controller this is explained on the edirol website http://www.edirol.it/europe/details...oducts&code=249

This is not an easy subject to explain in a great deal on a user forum but I hope this info helps.

The only way I managed to do it was to click the knob on the VST that you want to be controlled, then click Last Tweaked Parameter > Link To Controller... then when the Controller menu comes up, move the knob/slider on your keyboard that you want to control it. Then that will set it. Problem is, it only affects the current FLP so if you start a new one then it will reset and you'll have to do it again.
