Some peeps at kvr are thinking about selling their hardware synths after receiving their rgcaudio Z3ta+ 1.4 update with 2x oversampling.

So has anyone here got it and are you thinking about selling your nord, virus, jp, etc already ?

the 2x oversampling is alright.. it will sometimes make it sound better.. but most of the time the change is hardly noticible.. and it's terribly unstable ATM..

z3ta is great.. but it still sounds like software.. I bought my virus after 1.40 came out.. I wouldn't of bought it if I thought z3ta sounds just as good..

when someone can get z3ta to sound THIS good.. i'll sell my virus

Is zeta commonly compared as the software version of a Virus? Because there is no way zeta can make sounds that full in /I\'s sample!

no.. z3ta isn't commonly thought of as the software virus.. reguardless.. it's damn closer than any other software that I've had the priveledge to play around with.. but still not as clean and sexy as a virus

Just been looking at the update specs and there really isn;t anything new apart from oversampling. Other updates include being able to load in your own waveforms from the gui and some new presets.

the software version of the virus is the virus powercore. Which is fookin marvelous. I sold my virus coz couldnt be arsed with that shitty little display, i miss it loads tho. N if i had a mac, i would of kept it using the sounddiver to run it. It was a pain on the pc tho. Getting the powercore when i can aford it tho, now that will be a VST thats as hard as hardware, and twice as easy to program!

I can't understand why people try zeta to sound like anything???
Did Virus break the trance scene because it sounded like other synth???
Let's zeta breath a bit... It has its own sound. And futhermore, it is in constant evolution... but the x2 oversampling feature still have a lot of bugs. I guess in the next version x2 oversampling wil be bugfree!
