im currently saving to get a pair of mk5s but i cant decide on which color to get. looking at the picture on djstore.co.uk i was convinced to get them in silver coz they looked nice with a dark colored pitch slider. however looking at the latter link i saw that the pitch slider is just the same color as the rest of the tt. i know im bein fussy but u gotta admit the first turntable looks nicer than the 2nd. my Q is - can u actually get a 1200 mk5 that looks like the first pic?

I am almost positive that is just a difference in how they lighted the set for the picture.

EDIT: actually, I can prove it because the tone-arm, adaptor and pitch control all are darker in the first picture, but that is just because of lighting.

IMHO, I wouldn't waste the money on mk5g's, not worth the price.
