Most labels put out limited whites and some record shops get those. As for some of us, we write for internet sites and we write reviews to get promos. For some who are deejays, they qualify because they play to a certain amount of people or minimum that a label wants per week. Some just know the artist and get them from there.

A lot of promos are available from eBay, I've bought some from there myself, don't ask me where they get them from though....

There's no dead cert way of getting promos. As labels cut back their lists and lower their pr costs, sometimes you have to be more than even just a dj or a writer to get them, especially based on how easy it is to set up a scene zine site these days.
