What the hell happens with Trance Djs ???

I listen to all the latest dj sets and i don't understand where trance is going , and since nobody talked about last weeks i dont understand.. i mean i listen to tiesto NO ENERGY , NO ENERGY ,NOTHING .... AVB plays progressive house , not better ...paul van dyk now plays house trax and even corsten style is not energic.....what happens.... it makes a long time and didnt hear a great set with melody or energy ...all these tracks are the one that the only suspense is to know when it's going to end.... help !!! still good djs around ?

RNAKR, I agree with you.
The thing is that Trance is changing drastically. Some people say it's dying, other people say it's evolving.
But I definitely see your point. In the good ol' days, a good DJ would spin hard-ass energy trance with lots of excitement and a fast beat. These days it's some slow/experimental/boring shit. Mostly. Even from Tiesto!

I agree with you.. I started a post too.. last week. PvD has changed a lot. I LOVED sets like PvD @ Mark Spoon Birthday Party. God such sets rocked.. but have a listen to the new sets.. I hope you understand.

I understand what you mean but as trance has evolved, we have to evolve, so go hear some other DJ's if u want energy in a set, try DJ Scot Proj or Talla or DJ Bossy (Cosmic Gate) all these spin with a lot of energy and they aren't alone

Peace

Dumonde have alot of energy as do DJ Scot Project & Cosmic Gate, like DJRavemonkey mentioned. I don't like alot of this "progressive" stuff that's going on now.

Progressive is cool but uplifting/epic stuff really blows it out of the water. I wish DJs would go back to spinning the amazing, high-energy stuff that makes you want to go nuts and stop spinning progressive which definitely gets boring after awhile. I think most would agree with me when I say that the older stuff is much better from people like PvD, Tiesto, AvB, etc. and that those DJs should start moving back to uplifting/epic stuff.

i agree 100% with what most people have said in this thread. PvD/Oakenfold/AvB and even Tiesto's (essential mix anyone?) sets are getting sooo boring these days with very few uplifting tunes in them. look at the older sets by PvD like the opening of the berlin casino, oakenfold at gatecrasher 19.06.01, basically all of armin's older mixes at club eau etc. these sets were so full of epic/uplifting/energetic trance.
i just find progressive more boring but i spose its all in personal taste.
hope some new dj's will pop up to fill the shoes pvd/avb/tiesto are stepping out of.
